Our mix this week is on a serious note in support of this weekends CIBC Run For The Cure, and features some of the best and powerful female voices in the independent music scene.
This year in Canada, it is estimated that 22,300 women and 170 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and over 5,300 people will die from it.
On September 30, 2007, in 53 communities across Canada, thousands of Canadians will walk and run together in the name of finding a cure for breast cancer. In 2006, 170,000 people participated nationally, raising over $26 million for the cause.
This year help by showing your support by either registering as a participant or make a donation, and help in taking one step closer to finding a cure.

We hit the BIG 3 - 0 this week and celebrate by warming things up to the California sound of Sunshine Jones, and before you know it the catchy riffs of Washington D.C based Crash Boom Bang are asking if you're ready to start to work out.
Keeping things moving are Neo-garage sound of The Dwarves before we cross over to the J Walkers and their semi-autobiographical song When I Got You in My Life, then Edmund's Crown, David Usher and Benjamin Bates before we feature new music from two great bands, The Pinker Tones and every infectious sound of The Young Punx.
Shaking things up are the sounds of Dutch based artist Ricky Rivaro, Kerri Chandler, and the blended mix of salsa, funk and dance from Los
Amigos Invisibles.
We feature two songs from Brazilian songstress Vanessa Falabella who ends the work out and starts the cool down before sliding into the melodic
voice and lyrical reveries of Natalie Walker before finsihing things up with the relaxing vocals of pianist Adriana Thorpe.

This time we feature some of our favorite songs from shows past mixed with a healthy dose of new artists and new songs as Toddy Carey leads of the list of new artists as we warm things up before another Celtic track from Here Be Dragons before ending with an old favorite by John Costello and his latin jazz fusion sound.
Then it's time to crank things up with the official ambassadors of Barcelona cosmopolitan cool, The Pinker Tones, bring us the sound of one of the worldâs hippest cities before we jet off to The Netherlands and DJ Benjamin Bates. We then bring back several previous favorite heart pumping songs from Howard Jones, Chris Cowie, Every Move A Picture and the Latin Soul Syndicate followed by what anyone who has, is or was ever stuck in an office has thought at one time summed up by Edmund's Crown. Jarvis Humby makes you forget the office as their UK mod sound helps to drive you to the finish line of the workout before handing things off to the reggae, ska and latin sound of musical globalista Manu Chao.
We start to cool down to the sounds of Angelique Kidjo and Peter Gabriel and then to the jazzy rhythmic sounds of Barclay Saylor before letting Canadian born Kelly Brock drive us home with her silky voice.
