Timothy Schultz: Chasing the Shadows!

09/09/2007

Tim is producing an upcoming feature length documentary, which follows my exploration and attempts to communicate with the deceased from a variety of perspectives. He has recently returned from filming in Benin, Africa (known as the birthplace of voodoo,) and had access to a few tribes and rituals over that are rarely seen in the west, including possession and sacrificial rituals. He sought the help of a diverse group of scientists, psychics, and paranormal experts throughout the filming of this project and have gone to many locations that are thought to be haunted, such as at "The Stanley Hotel" and "The Myrtles Plantation" among many others. Also, he recently finished an animated clay sequence depicting Plato's "Allegory of the Cave," which sums up a point we try to make in this film about how a lot of people generally don't believe in something until they experience it for themselves and that we really encourage open-mindedness and real exploration into the possibilities of communicating with the afterlife...whether they are ghosts that are stuck or spirits that have moved on. This film has been two years in the making...we are shooting in High Definition and we expect a version to be complete and ready for film festivals this upcoming fall.
