Lesson 3 - Verbs overview. The verb “to be” (”sum”)

This podcast is an introduction to Latin verbs. It deals with the basic structure of the sentence: the verb and the subject, gives a brief overview of Latin verbs, verb inflections and conjugations, and introduces the basics of indicative and imperative moods. The second part of the podcast deals with the verb "to be" in Present tense, Indicative and Imperative moods, Active voice. also there's a summary of the personal endings for the imperfective aspect, and of some important grammar terms. Introductory Episode of LatinCast

This is the opening, pilot episode of our podcasts. It's not a learning episode - it's purpose is rather to promote some general information about our site and our intentions, and also to state some basic differences between studying modern and ancient languages - thus to mark some explicit differences between these podcasts and other online resources dedicated to modern languages.
