Warp Drive Active #14

25/09/2007

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

Show 14, better late than never! Urban has moved house and hasn't ironed all the bugs out of his sound setup yet (It does get better during the course of the show though) He suffers in work from a horrible obsolete programming language.

Huge scrap in XID between BOB and Redswarm, BOB gives a pep talk to R I S E, It doesn't to have done a whole lot of good though.

In the constant madness of the North, it looks like Fallen Souls have been kicked out everywhere they used to own up there.

EVE university gets a load of war dec's from people who like killing noobs!

At the request of Wilhelm we do a noob guide to tanking. For more information check out the excellent EVE Tanking made by Nyphur.

For homework this week, Blinky chooses a bit of classic Anime Voices of a Distant Star by Makoto Shinkai.

EVETV Episode 13 is free We hope this is the start of things to come. We also like the Brightcove player a lot more than the Jalipo player.

The Sisters of EVE Fanfest passes are out! Let your spouse escape the uber geekness in the convention centre!

Beyond that, just the usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Lead out tune "What a Beautiful Day" by Levellers.

Warp Drive Active #13

17/09/2007

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

We kick of unlucky show 13 by talking about our weeks. Blinky has been partaking in more IAC kicking in the great war in the south while Urban has found a new place to live and will be moving soon(tm).

The lads discuss Faster than light comms, sound from pods, and the new EVE Chronicles

Tyraxx Looses his Aeon mothership which he nicked from BOB a few weeks ago. Easy come easy go!

Meanwhile BOB looks like they are performing a scorched earth retreat from Omist.

In the constant madness of the North, it looks like Fallen Souls are loosing quite a few of their recently gained systems.

For the first time in the history of CAOD, a thread appears where everyone is being nice!!! Even Burn Eden!. Many congratulations to HUN for making history a second time

Oveur writes a hufe dev blog about the sexiness which will be in Revelations 3.0.

Sadly though, CCP Ginger tells us in his Dev blog, that there won't be factional warfare.

For homework this week, Urban would like you to check out police squad! One of the best TV shows ever.

Thanks to the joys of Skype we are able to introduce a new feature. Call Us, and leave a message on what you would like to see in Rev 3. Our Skype name is Warp.Drive.Active

Beyond that, just the usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Lead out tune "Stick 'em Up" by Quarashi.

Warp Drive Active #12

11/09/2007

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

After the madness of the tournament , we are back to doing a 'normal' show. Massive congratulations to Hun Reloaded.

We check out the sexy new Trinity 2 vids which CCP have released.

The IAC adds Band of Borthers too their already huge list of enemies, if Shrike is to be believed.

Smash and ROADKILL nab a station, Burn Eden war dec BIG Corp over a gambling disagreement and Hadean Drive Yards celebrates 5 years in EVE .

We totally ridicule a moronic demand from somebody who got scammed by an isk farmer and complained about it.

For homework this week, Blinky selects the movie Spartan , Just don't read the back of the box!

In 'what else have you been doing this week', Urban has completed Bioshock and declares it to be the best single player game since Deus Ex.

Meanwhile Blinky is still loving Warhawk on his PS3.

The EVETV Guys and Girls did a great job at broadcasting the tournament and we give massive thanks to everyone especially WCIX for making the streaming work perfectly this time. We were blown away by the quality of the in game camera work.

The booze on the final day leads to quality programming including Stav's role play rant and excessive shoe on head!

Beyond that, just the usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Lead out tune "The girl from Ipanema" by KOMPRESSOR**.

**Don't blame me for this, Blinky choose it

Warp Drive Active #11

09/09/2007

**TOURNAMENT HALF TERM SPECIAL**

**WARNING - THIS SHOW CONTAINS SILLINESS**

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

So we are now at the half way stage of the tournament and its we hand out school reports to all the Groups and Teams.

To make it fair we drag EVETV experts Stavros from CI and XxAngelxX away from their life of booze and debauchery in Iceland grade the teams.

Laugh at Urban and his massive nerd rage caused by MC withdrawal from the tournament, while Blinky tries desperately to justify it.

Watch Stav desperately flirt with Angel with little success as she seems to be only interested in committing acts of violence against him.

Discover the proclamations which Stavros will be making once he becomes Amarr Emperor.

Most importantly discover the dangers of traffic cones, the herding powers of Tyraxx Thorrk's pink hat, the bathroom hogging prowess of KIAEddz and why its very important to check if the show isn't broadcasting before you start saying naughty things.

Beyond that, even more than usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Lead out tune "The Ballad Of Robert Moore And Betty Coltrane" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Massive thanks to Stav and Angel for putting up with us and doing such a great job, Have fun on the last weekend!

Next show will be out tuesday morning
