D.U.O é o nome do mais recente projecto de Alex G e Juan Pestana. Esta dupla já trabalhou junta com outros pseudónimos, e com esta nova entidade pretendem apresentar uma nova sonoridade e uma nova forma de trabalhar. Alex G cedo começou a dar os primeiros passos no universo musical, em criança tocou bateria e teve uma breve aproximação ao piano, mas foi mais tarde nos 'knobs' e 'faders' que surgiu a sua verdadeira paixão. Em 2004 iniciou-se no mundo da produção musical. Esteve agênciado na Fresh Produções durante 3 anos, e no decorrer desse período partilhou a cabine com alguns artistas internacionais de relevo, tais como: Luke Chable, Steve Porter, Sasse, Carlos Lamar, etc. Juan Pestana é produtor/compositor e músico profissional. Aos 12 anos entrou no mundo 8 BITS, e desde então começou a compor e a explorar novas sonoridades. A partir dos 16 anos começou a actuar com bandas, onde perdurou até aos tempos de hoje. Este projecto, D.U.O, é quanto a nós, um dos projectos mais interessantes do panorama nacional. The inspiration for this project came from the attempt to decompress from a nebulous schedule as paced by maintaining a new media lifestyle within the Information Society. Taking the time to actually prepare a meal, list the ingredients, and write poetry has been a good experiential and conceptual counterbalance between 20th Century utility and 21st Century gadgetry.
