- THINKfuture: News, Politics And Libertarian Rants with Chris Future -
The THINKfuture Radio Show is audio commentary on current events, politics, work, life and play from a unique socially liberal, fiscally conservative viewpoint. Future, a conservative leaning libertarian, tackles every topic under the sun, from todays political climate (predicted a Hillary 08 win) to using social networking and the internet to improve humanity, and everything in between. Future asserts that "Being a libertarian, both sides hate me equally" and as such takes on all comers. The show has been compared to an earthquake, a tsunami, and a box of chocolates, cause you never know what you are gonna get. Some of Future's choicest sayings are: "This is not a lecture, it's a conversation." In reference to Global Warming he says: "We are a pimple on Mother Natures ass!" and "I'm interested in saving humanity, not saving the world. Humanity can then save the world." On government: "Government is usually only interested in increasing our taxes and reducing our freedoms" and on immigration: "Here's a two step process for fixing the immigration system: a) Make it easier to become a citizen legally b) make everyone go through the new easier process" Truly, no topic is spared! A Convenient Truth Trailer The Bootleg Version
Filmed in late 2006, while watching Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient truth” Jack Guest was inspired to create the positive response called “A Convenient Truth” Jack invested his entire savings and took a film crew to Sweden (by boat), a country aiming to break its dependency on oil by 2020. There, he meets a range of people from politicians to scientists, families, entrepreneurs and green activists. Discussing with all of them the solutions that they have found, and are living, to reduce their carbon footprint and combat global warming. The film has a light-hearted theme, with a serious, yet positive message that change does not necessarily mean sacrifice.
