02:42 - News

â    We are gearing up for Calgaryâs local Science Fiction/Fantasy convention Con-Version  which will be taking place August 17 â 19.

â    We also did some pre-planning for the BBQ we will be having September 8th.  If you are in the Calgary area we suggest you come.  We will have details posted on our website within the week.

â    For those who wish to purchase memberships in CDN funds not using Paypal we have changed the CDN (only) registration form on our website to reflect the rising Canadian dollar.

â     While we have had lots of interest, we will not be accepting applications for dealers and artist until November 1st 2007.  One thing I will mention, however, is dealers tables will NOT include memberships.  I mention this because membership rates go up October 1st so you may want to consider purchasing yours soon (if you havenât already).

â    We will not be having an August meeting so there will not be an e-mail then.  The time we would normally have this meeting falls too close to our local SF conventionâs date and many of the World Fantasy 2008 committee will be involved in that.  Instead we will move our September meeting to the 8th before our BBQ. (the podcast will still go out however)

*    Last week - For dealers and artists who are considering coming to WF08.  We will be having a meeting with our broker on the last week of July.  If you have any questions or concerns about bringing goods across the border let us know either by e-mail or on our voice mail so we may address them at that time.  Knowing how hard it is to cross the border, we want to make it as painless as possible.  We want to have everything in place and all questions answered by this yearâs World Fantasy.

*    If you have signed up for the monthly e-mail updates for World  Fantasy 2008 and have NOT been receiving them, please let us know.  We have had some e-mails bounce back to us.
